Ms Tan has 10 years advertising experience, handling print media, Direct mail and company brochures. In addition, she also contributed creative concepts, assisted the Account Director to develop advertising campaigns and offered public relations support for key clients. She has handled a broad range of accounts: consumer electronics, computer equipment, hotels, property, travel, education, retail, banking and finance. Major projects range from the launch of Malaysian ringgit futures for the Malaysia Monetary Exchange to the successful launch of the Pancho V Mexican restaurant and relaunch of Raffles Ballroom for the Westin Hotels in Singapore. Then, she joined the Singapore Institute of Architects as a Publications Executive to do their monthly Journal, Yearbook and ad-hoc publications. Subsequently, she rejoined the Straits Times Group as a Senior Reporter to launch Weekend East, Singapore’s first free weekend “provincial’ newspaper.In order to broaden her writing experience, she then began her career in advertising in 1989.
